Inspired by Nature is an online course for those who want to drive a more sustainable future. In it, we draw on our expertise in biomimicry to teach you how to tap into revolutionary ideas that have evolved over billions of years and that could push our traditional thinking. Biomimicry is about learning from nature’s best ideas to solve some of our toughest challenges. For example, it can take something that we overlook and many of us walk over daily, concrete, and change its role from contributor to climate change to solution. Biomimicry has also helped scientists develop carbon-sequestering concrete by emulating coral reefs. It has inspired inspired more effective communication strategies by looking to ants and has helped improve the efficiency of wind turbine blades by copying the bumps on a humpback whale’s fin.
If you’ve ever wanted to be a part of shaping the future, or tapping into deeper levels of creativity and ingenuity, or, if you wanted to shift the way things are done, in January 2021 we are launching the first cohort of “Founding Members” who will get access to the mindset, methods, and tools for building a biomimetic future. The course will help you find inspiration from the most sustainable, resilient, and often, beautiful technologies on earth.
Specifically, this course will be your opportunity to tap into nature’s genius to come up with your own ideas, your own business, or to take what you currently do and make it better, naturally. The Inspired by Nature course will teach you:
The mindset of biomimicry and how to shift your thinking (I doubt your competitors are using biomimicry as their “innovative” mindset)
The methods of biomimicry and how to effectively draw from nature’s genius to come up with new ways of solving your personal and professional challenges
The tools to create world-changing business ideas
The first cohort will be lead by Jamie Miller, the founder of Biomimicry Frontiers. Biomimicry Frontiers is an award winning firm that has applied biomimetic solutions across the globe - including India, Vietnam, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, and Canada.
Starting in 2021, we are opening the course to global applicants.
However, we are limiting the first cohort to the first 20 candidates who apply.
